My opinion is that everyone should learn a programming language. I like Perl – it’s simple and versatile. For the first time in my life am I able to make programs without refering to the programming book. Yes, I always had to refer to ‘Sam’s Teach Yourself C++ in 21 days’ while writing a program *blush*… in the end I gave it up and now the only C++ program I can write is ‘Hello World!!!!!’

Everyone go and get Perl….. yes, I know the drawback is that it’s uncompiled, but then, that’s also its strength!!! I feel that every computer should have perl in it…even if you’re using a mac or windows… And yeah, go and learn something other than perl – C, C++, Java, VBasic, whatever!!!!
