One thing I have come to realise, especially over the past year – is how important ensemble playing is for a learning musician. I personally think that to grow as a musician, one needs ensemble playing – it just accomplishes what solo playing cannot.

Just a short ‘update’, or rather, downdate (??) on happenings. Well yes I am back in Malaysia… hot weather of late (although it JUST rained!), no proper rain in 2 weeks.. And.. Mencap day 2006 – The day when people with various disabilities come in to take part in activities hosted by the school. Although I didn’t have to help out (upper sixes don’t have to) I decided to go in anyway, to help out Mr. Dearden who brought in his penny-farthing for people to sit on and have their pictures taken.
