The Edge, 2

Could hardly wake up this morning…in the end my mom woke me up – just enough time to take breakfast, change, get ready and then Ewe Jin was already there..

Same schedule, main session at 10am…me and Ewe Jin checked out the sound system… The speaker was funny, yeah, interesting…but…at least there was still some substance in his message…

So, was I to be disappointed by today’s workshops? Turns out, no. First workshop was quite good, it was on ‘Wise Cracks of Studio Recording.’ Learnt quite a bit from there…

The workshop after lunch was also not too bad, it was on ‘Turning your home into a recording studio’. But after that session, I felt that I had enough of technical sound stuff, and I was also getting a bit of a headache…so we headed (me and chris leow) up for the ‘keyboards and more’ workshop. I chatted a while with my friends, but then my headache was getting quite bad, so I excused myself from the workshop and went with chris to the other building and took a rest. At least my headache got better after that. Went back to the workshop but I didn’t go in, just waited outside with Chris and discussed some church matters…

After the workshop was over the four of us (the usual four, Me, Chris, Ewe Jin and Ruth) met up and we went down to level 2. Played around with the keyboards (Especially Ewe Jin). The keyboard was quite interesting, it had this sensor which detects movement above it and it can execute stuff like pedals, pads….

We left Ewe Jin to play around with his toy because he just wouldn’t leave it, and we headed to the old building for the screening of some short movie on Glenn… The room was stuffy and had a weird odour to it, but we still sat (umm..actually, we stood) and watched the movie. I think his testimony had a lot more depth than the movie, but as the movie was not evangelical based, so, can’t really complain.

We went to the roadside stores to eat dinner, had to wait like 15 minutes for the noodles to arrive…and Chris had to wait longer. Ewe Jin finished within 15 minutes (He ordered and ate fast). A. Patsy and Grace and her friend and Ben Kane joined us for dinner, the pros being that we managed to get some ‘extra’ food…We stayed behind to give Chris company while he ate his food (he ordered an extra wantan mee [is that how you spell it?]) and then we headed back (late) for the concert.

Earplugs back on, plus headphones for me (yeah we kept pulling out each others earplugs for fun). In the end we left early, because we couldn’t take the sound anymore, I wonder if we’ll do any better tomorrow. But it was a fun day all together…

Ewe Jin, Chris and Ruth are irritating me. They keep teasing me on some matter (I won’t mention what). Next time you see them, please give them a good knock on their heads for me =p.

I better remember that I have to pass some stuff to Ewe Jin, Wee Kee and maybe some others tomorrow…it’s been totally delayed….

I hope I can make it for my class barbeque party this Saturday also…=

Guess I’ll leave it here, I’ll have one final update on ‘The Edge’ music conference tomorrow..

hmm complete this later…
